Cheap Easyjet flights from London Gatwick to Luxor, Egypt

With Easyjet starting a new route offering flights from London Gatwick to Luxor, Nile cruises and traditional Egypt tourism have come down in price.

When it comes to getting cheap flights to Egypt, you’re generally limited to flying into Sharm El Sheikh. And while there are some nice resorts, beaches and diving opportunities around Sharm, that isn’t exactly what many people want to go to Egypt for.

Cheap flights to Egypt | Luxor & Nile cruises

Luxor, however, is the spot for temples and Nile cruises. Alas, up until recently, it has been nigh-on impossible to get a cheap flight to Luxor.

Easyjet flights | London to Luxor

This should all change with Easyjet’s new route from London Gatwick to Luxor, which starts flying in November 2010. According to Travelzoo, return flights are available for as little as £128.

Cheapest flights to Luxor, Egypt

That’s a massive improvement on the usual price for flights from London to Luxor, but it’s worth comparing the Easyjet deals with those of other companies such as Thomson, using a service such as Skyscanner (see box in the top of the right hand menu).
